Fourth Annual Women Missionary Conference in Boyden

The Woman's Missionary Union of the North Sioux District will hold its fourth annual conference at First Reformed church in Boyden on Thursday October 1. Speakers include Miss Elizabeth Bruce missionary to India Mrs John A Dykstra Mission Board representative Mr Cornelius Eelman assisting Dutch immigrants in Canada and Rev Warren Heibrink from Rock Rapids. Sessions at 930 am 130 pm and 720 pm with coffee served at noon and after the afternoon meeting. Co chairmen are Mrs Paul Vande Hoef and Mrs Sam Kleinwolterink.

Two Boyden Boys Enroll At Morningside College

Richard Blumeyer and Jerry Starkweather, both of Boyden, enrolled for the fall term at Morningside college in Sioux City. Enrollment neared 551 for the semester, with over 225 freshmen including 67 nursing students from local hospitals. Dick and Jerry both pursue physical education majors.
