Gerald Calsbeek Named To Direct County CROP Drive
Gerald Calsbeek, a Sioux Center farmer, was named to direct the 1957 Christian Rural Overseas Program commodity drive in Sioux County. He will organize 23 township chairmen and kick off the campaign in mid November with support from Rev. John Nolin and the county CROP board, including Henry Van Klompenburg Byron W. Hess Mildred Klein and Leroy Nattress. The drive aims to aid underfed and needy worldwide through church channels.

Four Dairy Farmers Named to 1957 400 Club
Four dairy farmers from Iowa, Chester A. De Boer of Hull, Joe C. Fuhr of Boyden, Peter Moret of Boyden, and Len Rensink and Sons of Boyden, earned 1957 400 Club memberships at the Seventh annual Cow Conference in Ames. Each yarded 10 to 35 Holsteins with butterfat averages ranging from 459.6 to 537.9 pounds, meeting the decade-long 400-pound-per-cow standard.

Farm Bureau Plans Wyoming Ranch Tour for Sioux Members
Sioux County Farm Bureau will host a three day trip for members to ranches in Gillette Wyoming from September 30 to October 3.
