Fatal Crash Kills Woman and Injures Six Near Little Rock
A F W Cobble Willys Knight touring car collided with a Ford driven by a Klinkhammer at Chris Atting corner four miles east of Little Rock Sunday noon. Mrs Protextor died in the afternoon. Reverend Iurd Sells Sows at Rock Rapids Fair
At the Lyon county fair grounds Rev H H Hurd of Rock Rapids sold the yearling sow Lady Imperator for 1000 dollars to John Wegter of Sheldon. He earlier raised and sold her, then repurchased for 175, turning a profit. Soy Bean Day at County Farm Demonstration
Next Friday afternoon September 12 a Soy Bean demonstration will be held at the County Farm under the Sioux County Farm Bureau. Twelve varieties were planted last spring in four row plots and part of each plot will be cut for hay while the rest ripens to show maturity dates. County Agent Dunlop arranged for J W Coverdale, secretary of the Iowa State Federation of Farm Bureaus, to speak on farmer interests and the veto of the Daylight Saving Law. Prof. F C Churchill of Ames will explain local soy bean work and take part in the program at 2 o'clock sharp Wilson's time.

The building contract for the new Orange City Hotel budgeted at 50000 dollars has been awarded to W W Beach. The hotel will sit on corner lots next to Pure Food Grocery, opposite the old Betten Hotel.
