Boyden school holds ration book registration and student activities
Boyden Public School issued 1400 ration book four entries after 1837 books four issued and 363 applications filed. Superintendent J W Brouwer thanks numerous staff and volunteers. A senior government class staged a jury trial with a guilty verdict. Grade School Notes Highlight Autumn Activities and Attendance
Primary classes read in small books and wrote about autumn. First graders created stories about indicators of fall. Halloween crafts and jack o lantern songs featured. Several students were absent. Harald De Boer built a village project. Six weeks' attendance is perfect for many named students. Seventh and Eighth Grades plan a Halloween party. stamps raised 92.50 and a new world map is displayed. A visitor from Sioux Center and a trip to Jefferson are noted.
