Cadet Hollander Honored as Distinguished Military Student
Ames, Iowa Cadet Gerald W Hollander son of Mr and Mrs Hollander of Bodyen enrolled in the Army Reserve Officers Training Program was named a Distinguished Military Student by the College President and the Professor of Military Science and Tactics. The honor allows a Regular Army commission after graduation. He was among 19 cadets selected for the distinction. S H Pedersen of Ruthven marked his 100th birthday on September 25 visiting an Emmetsburg barber for a shave and haircut.
