Koester sale in Boyden district exceeds six thousand dollars
The opening farm sale of the season near Boyden drew a large crowd as W. Koester closed out the Herman Meyn farm. The sale total topped 6000 dollars with Meylink and Wiersma as auctioneers and H. O. Tuttle assisting as clerk. Koester will move to Sheldon to run a billiard hall. A separate notice offers Hassler shock absorbers for sale at a discount.

Be Patriotic See America First Travel Social at U P church
The young people of the U P church plan a travel social titled A Trip All Over the U S A with meals included. It takes place tomorrow evening in the church basement with round trip tickets 50 cents and children under 14 at 25 cents. Admission is free to buyers of round trip tickets and 10 cents for other admissions. If not traveling full distance, attendance for 10 cent fare between stations is allowed. Proceeds go to the basement fund.
