Emil Tott passes away prominent Sibley businessman
Emil Oscar Tott a longtime Sibley grocer died Sunday afternoon after a brief illness caused by liver hemorrhage He was born in Hanner Germany May 16 1869 and came to the United States with his parents settling in Orange City He moved to Sibley in 1902 and built a successful grocery business He is survived by his wife and children Wes Francis Turnbull Arthur Oscar Josephine Emily and siblings Carl Hermon and George Tott Funeral services were held Tuesday with burial at Spirit Lake.
