Holstein sale planned in Sheldon over two days
Arrangements are completed for a two day Holstein sale in Sheldon October 16 and 17. The Northwest Iowa Holstein Breeders Association will offer 65 bulls and 5 select stock males on October 16, with 66 daughters and granddaughters on October 17 from Rensink Bros. Cattle featured include top sires Rag Apple Korndyke King Korndyke and Fairview Pietje Korndyke. Cattle are tuberculin tested and guaranteed. catalogs available from R. Kamminga and Rensink Bros. Pictures of potential buyers urged to attend and enter the Pure bred Holstein game. Annette Dethmers holiday visit noted.

John Wegter, a Poland China breeder near Sheldon, plans an annual sale at the new Sheldon pavilion on Saturday October 12. About 45 head of fall and spring boars, sired by champions including Towa's Smooth Jumbo and Wonderful Jones, will be offered with spring pigs around 250 pounds. Also noted is the Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Shimp of Boyden celebrated at Stavely Alberta with family attendance and gifts.
