Local families including Postma, Van Zandbergen, Holtrop, Sylsia, Riemers, and Doorenbos attended various gatherings across Sanborn, Hospers, Hull, and Orange City as service departures and showers were noted.
Ray Rohifs Jerry Starkweather Jack Slykhuis Jim Doorenbos Peter C Baart man and Jim Keele were fined 50 to 100 dollars in Mayor's court for defacing property by egging houses on Halloween. Three juveniles Ed Den Herder Clair neil Dunnick and Ed Dickevers were placed on probation. Sheriff Harry Dykstra led the investigation.

Hosts Mrs. Lloyd Goodyear and Mrs. Dale Ferwerda served lunch.
The Iowa Children's Home Society Publicity note misidentified Mrs L Rensink as chairman in Boyden. The correct Boyden chairman is Mrs L V Grooters. The town’s contributors and supporters are thanked for their generous help.
Mr and Mrs Donald Gray and children of Marcus were Sunday guests at the Warren Betten home. Additional guests were Mr and Mrs Eldon Bleasdell and Mr George Miazgar. Mr and Mrs Ray Brockhouse traveled to Minneapolis then visited Albert Lea and Forest City for several days. Bob and Mrs Green took Pearl Lee to Iowa City for an examination.
