Contracts Let for Boyden High and Grade School
The Boyden High and Grade School contracts were awarded Friday to Standard Construction Co. of Minneapolis for 22099.50, Richter Plumb and Heating Co. of Sheldon for 1930, Thos. Rinehart of LeMars for 3719, and Standard Electric Co. of Clinton for the wiring. Limited by 25000 for the project, bids were high but after changes the work will start after the current term. The old schoolhouse will be sold and moved.

Mr and Mrs A Van den Brink celebrated their twenty fifth wedding anniversary at home in Hull on the last Friday. They were married May 18 1892 and received many silver gifts. An elaborate dinner and supper followed with out of town guests.

War Memorial Service at Cemetery in Gettysburg
On May 30 1917 at 9 30 a m a program featuring the Star Spangled Banner Quartet and audience invocation followed by Gettysburg Address and reading of music including Iow a Beautiful Land.
