School House Bonds Sold Tuesday
The Independent School District of Boyden sold the bonds for its new $25 000 school building to Wells Dickey Co of Minneapolis. The bidder offered a premium of 452 for the twenty year 5 percent bonds, making the effective premium 4 58 percent. Other bidders included Schanke Co Mason City at 25 50. Eleven bonds will mature with 13 000 of the principal due in 20 years.

Balkema Bill For Federal Aid Wins in Iowa Senate
The Iowa Senate approved a bill to accept federal road aid by a 45 to 2 vote. Nicholas Balkema of Sioux county led the measure, with funds to be apportioned to counties via the state highway commission. Federal aid totals by year: 1917 145000, 1918 290000, 1919 425000, 1920 580000, 1921 25000. County boards must apply to receive their share or forfeit rights.

U P Congregational Meeting Well Attended
