The Holstein-Friesian Association held its inaugural sale at Rensink Bros. farm Tuesday. Sixty one animals sold for a total of $13 750, averaging $225 per head amid eager buyers and travel delays. Highest price was $465 for a cow from Corwin Farms.

Gerrit Mouw and Lizzie Weis were married in Hospers with Rev. G H Douwstra officiating. The ceremony at the Herman Woertink home drew many relatives and friends who celebrated with a large feast and a mission band entertainment in the afternoon. The couple planned to visit Castlewood South Dakota before returning to Hospers to reside.

The Pioneer Farmers Club presents a home talent play titled Back to the Farm at the Opera House Friday evening. The show was delayed from January during the Corn Show and proceeds will go to cover this year’s deficit. All are urged to attend to support a social and financial success.
Notices from the secretary of state show Iowa has 205,623 autos licensed for 1917 with thousands more to be added. Last year’s high was 190367 and the stock was for 160000 plates, now increased. Under the new law each owner’s number will identify the car for three years with a yearly new plate.

Miss Edith Wolf of Sheldon visited grandparents Mr and Mrs E Hansen. Mr Smettel of Chicago stayed with the John Kersten home last week.
A cement block garage will be built this spring by Mr. Perl Work on the lots behind the People's Store, which he recently purchased. Geiger Construction Co. of Sheldon has the contract. Construction starts when weather allows and will cover 45 by 50 feet with a full concrete floor, providing ample room and a possible repair shop.
Miss Mabell Liefenbach wed Dick Bosma in a Tuesday ceremony at Sieba Van Diepenhome. Rev Karl Megdelsen officiated. The couple planned a brief wedding trip and will reside on a Beyden-area farm rented by the groom after April first. The Reporter offers congratulations.
