Haspels Baby Dies in Sioux County
The six month old daughter of Mr and Mrs John Haspels died suddenly after a brief illness from brain fever. Funeral plans not yet announced. Mrs Haspels is seriously ill. Sioux County Farm Bureau requests seed corn samples for testing and a Poultry Breeders list. Send name and poultry type to Geo Dunlop in Orange City. Hog Cholera vaccination school planned at Hull March 13 and 14 starting at 9 am.

Buttermakers Meet at Sheldon Wednesday
The State Association of Butter makers met at the Commercial Club rooms in Sheldon with H J Wargowsky and William Wargowsky of Farmers Creamery Boyden in attendance. Six medals were awarded for butter entries from across the state. Prof M Mortenson of Iowa State College spoke and a banquet followed. Winners to be announced next week as reported. Henry Smit held a closing out sale February 28 south of Boyden with strong turnout, total around $23 25.00. Meylink & Wiersman and clerk Paul T McCrum assisted as the Smit family moves to Sibley Iowa to work in trucking. he bought a new Ford truck.

The Independent School District of Boyden holds its annual election on Monday March 12. Three directors will be chosen for three year terms and one for a two year term. Nominees include H F Bergman Mabel Van Zwel Mane Jackson K Drenth Herman Luynies Henry Kortekamp and treasurer Steve G Vanden Brink seeks re election. Voting at Town Hall from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
