Miss Sylvia Eichmann of Matlock married Sylvester Feuerstein of Sheldon at the Hurd home with Rev. H. C. Hurd officiating. After March first the couple will reside on a farm west of Matlock.
A series of civil actions and two divorce petitions are listed in Sioux County court notices. Claims include Wv. D. Button versus John Ludonese for 412.63 on a promissory note, 19.66 on spark plug and oil charges, and a writ of attachment. Albert Schuetz versus Herman Schwartz for 185.00 on a tractor purchase. and John J. Tucker versus C. J. Hogemann for 400 on a protested check. Additional suits involve rent, promissory notes, and mortgage foreclosures. Divorces sought include JC. W. Eastman from Euphenie Eastman and Louise Harlan from L. Leon Harlan.
The Boyden High School team finished fourth in the Sioux County tournament after two hard games. Boyden beat Hull 18 to 13 in the semifinal, then lost 11 to 12 to Ireton in the third place game as Hospers and Alton claimed the top spots. Fans praised the team's effort and expect a stronger showing next year.
Henry Bosman’s dairy herd underwent a second T. B test, with all cattle found perfectly healthy. A government official conducted the test, and other local herds may be tested as well. The tuberculin test and cattle TB cards are planned for all herds in the community.

The Board of Trustees warns all landowners and renters in Sheridan township to destroy all Canadian thistles and keep the ground black during 1924. Do not sow or plant crops on affected parcels until thistles are eradicated. Henry Schloetje, Clerk.
