John Levering quits as manager of the Boyden Hardware Co and moves his family after March 1 to Steen Minnesota to enter the grocery and cream business. No successor named yet, but an appointment is expected. The Levering family leaves Troyden with best wishes. Farmers organize oil company to build Sheldon station
A farmers oil company was organized at Sheldon Iowa to erect and operate a filling station serving the Sheldon trade area. Directors from four townships plus Sheldon were elected with over $6,000 subscribed. Officers to be chosen and station plans to be laid out at a meeting this week.

Bridge work in 1923 totaled 96 276.64 with culverts, head walls and concrete I-beams listed. County road funds distributed 75 455.12 miles of dirt and gravel roads patrolled and graded 46 miles of road improved. Several marriages licensed including Jantzen Winter pair and Elston families.

Celebrate Fift ieth Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs Conrad Schafer of Plankington South Dakota marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Tuesday February nineteenth at home near Plankington. They wed in Muscatine Iowa February nineteenth eighteen seventy four and moved west to Sioux county then to South Dakota and finally near Plankington. Their son Frank and four daughters attended along with relatives from Iowa and South Dakota.
