Claus Vagts Lifelong Immigrant Farmer Passes at 77
Claus Vagts born January 15 1853 in Cadenberge Hanover Germany died May 30 in Sibley Iowa after a long illness. A soldier and farmer he emigrated to the United States in 1885 settling at Hull Iowa later homestead owner and longtime St John s Lutheran member. He leaves four children eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral by Rev Hein at the German Lutheran Church Boyden Iowa.
