Nine Sheridan Delegates Elected At Primary
Sheridan Township Republicans chose nine delegates for the county convention to be held in Orange City on Saturday June 28. Eighteen candidates appeared with votes tallied for each: Josie Stuttaman and Paul T. McCrum led with 100 and 108 votes respectively. others ranged from 39 to 64 votes. The top nine vote-getters were elected and will receive notices from the County Auditor.

Ludwig Matuscheska Passes Away at 89
Ludwig Matuscheska aged 89 died at the Baetke home Sunday from old age. Born in Germany on April 2, 1835 he lived for years with Rev. and Mrs. William Baetke and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church. Funeral services were set for Thursday at 2:00 PM with interment in the Lutheran cemetery.
