Voters in Lincoln Township Hull area and Sheridan Township Boyden will cast ballots Monday June 6 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Township Room Hull Fire House and the Legion Hall Boyden. Races include nominations for State offices and U S Congress with Republican and Democrat tickets. Fifth District Supervisor race features Gerrit J. Brands Bert Keele and Wm Kuipers as Republicans and Herman Kaster as Democrat.

Memorial Day Observed by Many at Hull Cemeteries
Memorial Day services were conducted by the American Legion and Auxiliary at several Hull area cemeteries. Many former Hull residents returned for the observance and renewed old acquaintances. Poulsoms Move to Hull Iowa New Band Director
Mr and Mrs Thomas E Poulsom now reside in Hull Iowa occupying the Les Foreman house formerly home to the Arnold Vander Sodel family. Poulsom is named band director at Boyden Hull High School and will direct summer band concerts. The couple wed in Springfield Missouri on Friday May 27 and moved to Hull soon after.

First Open Air Band Concert Opens Season in Hull
Western Christian High held its Commencement May 25 with about 1500 in attendance. Rev G Van Oyen gave the address on Climb though the Rock be Rugged. Ninety seven graduates received diplomas as Ed Mellema gave the class farewell. Band concerts start June 4 at the band stand near the main intersection under new director Thomas E Poulsom. Residents invited to attend and shop in Hull Saturday evenings.

School Picnic at Boyden Huge Success
The Boyden Hull Attendance Center Community School picnic drew both rural and town attendees. Pupils played games while parents prepared the noon dinner and socialized, and the day closed with report cards and a 2:00 p.m. dismissal. The faculty later returned for a coffee party and honored Mrs Hesebeek at a pink and blue shower.
