Body of Pvt Robert Kuyper Returned for Burial

The body of Private Robert R. Kuyper, formerly of Sheldon Iowa, is being returned from Manila aboard the U S Army Transport Sergeant Morris E Crain and will reach San Francisco around June 28 before forwarding to Sheldon then Iowa. Next of kin Lucy Kuyper has been notified. The remains travel with a military escort and arrive at a Distribution Center in Kansas City before final destination. Time to forward may take two to six weeks after arrival. The second transport bringing honored dead from Manila, with another due in August, accompanies other Navy Army or Air Force personnel originarily interred in New Guinea and the Philippines. Funeral Director Vander Plog of Sheldon Iowa represents next of kin.
