E. E. Bleasdell of Boy den Hardware attended a two day Weed Control Conference in Lincoln Nebraska on the 8th and 9th of this month. About 1500 dealers and distributors were present with Governor Val Peterson among the speakers. The event emphasized weed control as crops suffer three billion dollars in annual losses. Bleasdell urged ordering spraying equipment and chemicals now and noted the firm’s role as a 2 4 D Weed Killer dealer.

They returned last Saturday.

A large group from Boyden Hull and Rock Valley will gather in Boyden at noon Friday Jan 17 and depart by truck to hunt in Boyden territory. Ninety hunters joined a Hull area hunt last week producing one fox and 115 rabbits. The season total foxes is 21. Foxes and rabbits are taken to Rock Valley then Sioux Falls to fund future hunts for the three towns.
