The Sioux county board refused to second Lou Noethe's motion to redistrict the county. Kamminga and others favored redistricting but rejected Noethe's swap proposal. The board also approved building a new steel bridge near the Rensink farm four miles north of Boyden with concrete flooring.

Cornelius Slothouber son of Mr and Mrs Gt Slothouber married Johanna Bosma daughter of Bert Bosma December 29 at the bride’s home in the presence of relatives Rev J W Brink officiated. The couple wore navy and orchid with music by Miss Alice Vander Maaten and a violin solo by Joan Vander Maaten. Reception followed at the bride’s home with local attendants listed. The couple were led by Anthony Slothouber.
