Ring Smith Son installs a tiled refrigerated locker facility beside their meat market. John Vos, a mason, assisted by DeJong Construction Co., is erecting the structure to hold at least 100 lockers. Many farmers have already contracted for lockers.
The Woman's Club meets Friday January 7 at 2 pm with Mesdames Syames and Meester as hostesses. Mrs Arthur Miller presents Conservation of American Forests and Mrs John Van Diepen Jr reviews the Fer ber book Come And Get It.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Henry Stehrenberg at the German Lutheran church with burial in the Sheldon cemetery. She is survived by her husband Henry Stehrenberg of Rock Valley, a brother Herman Stegemann of Boyden, and two sisters Mrs. O Blessing of Sheldon and Mrs. G F Darger of Sioux City.
Miss Betty Van Houte sustained a badly bruised hand when caught in a washing machine wringer. Doctors reported no broken bones.
