Alma Stegemann Weds Hermann Kruse In Private Home Ceremony

Alma Stegemann and Hermann Krusewere wed Sunday at 3:00 PM in a private ceremony at the Stegemann home, conducted by Rev. Wm Baetke. The couple will reside on the Henry Reyelts farm near Boyden after a short wedding trip to Iowa and South Dakota with visits to relatives.

Coal Strike Settled as Miners Win 14 Percent Increase

About 400 000 striking coal miners won a 14 percent raise and a three person committee chosen by the President to study the coal situation within 60 days. Fuel restrictions remain and normal Midwest supply will take weeks. Citizens urged to conserve coal while awaiting further relief. Ben J.
