Joseph Steven, a Boyden merchant, filed a voluntary bankruptcy petition in Siourn City last week Tuesday. He lists debts of 8338.61 and assets of 11485.88 with a 2400 exemption. His Boyden store closed 13 weeks ago. stock is in court custody with referee Reed Babcock. Steven’s business declined over years and may be liquidated for cash soon.

Sioux County Fair Opens With Entries August 22
Entry day at the Sioux County Fair is Monday August 22. Livestock poultry grain fruit vegetables and fancy work must be brought in that day. Judging starts Tuesday August 23. The fair features free acts band concerts harness races and fireworks each evening with 4-H Girls Clubs demonstrations and Farm Bureau booths highlighted. Eighth grade graduation exercises occur Tuesday at 10 30 a m.
