Service Flag Hung By United Presbyterian Congregation

A Sunday morning service at United Presbyterian included hanging a silk service flag with ten stars honoring ten members from the congregation Sunday school and homes. Mrs H T Jackson presented the flag in her role with the Ladies Missionary Society as speeches by A A Kuyper and J W Horn noted the flag and national ties. The service featured prayers for the country a banner reference from the pastor and music including Star Spangled Banner America My Country and When Our Hosts to Battle Go.

Mrs Joseph Keller of Farley Iowa visited the Fred Van Goor home during the first of last week, and Neal Sake was a guest at Lake Okoboji over Sunday.

Registration set for August 24 for 21 and under

August 24 marks the next registration day for American boys who are 21 since June 5. A first registration for men 18 to 45 is planned in September if the manpower bill passes by then.
