The Boyden Public School begins Monday September 1 with a largely new faculty and interior redecorating nearly complete. Superintendent Henri Hoeven and Principal Christine Scholten lead a staff including Margaret Kilis, Mattie Peclein, Florence Fahlenkamp, Zelda Eason, Minnie Huibregtse, H Buntley, Emer Miller, and Mrs Paul T. McCrum recovering from illness.

Forties Acres Yield Record Reported In Iowa

Newkirk Man Hurt by Bull in Pasture Attack
Ed Rensink, a farmer from near Newkirk, was badly injured when a Holstein bull owned by his family charged him in a pasture. He suffered a deep leg gash, a rib injury, and nerve shock, with doctors in Alton and Sheldon attending.
