The Boyden Community Club decided to purchase a Silver Loving Cup as a prize for the County Track Meet in Orange City on May 10. The cup will be awarded in the Girls 220 yard relay and displayed in Boyden beforehand.
The mayor warns that speeding on Boyden streets endangers children and demands motorists slow or face arrests. The notice cites repeated violations and urges compliance to prevent accidents.
The Boyden High School commencement for the class of 1926 will be held on Thursday May 20. The six seniors are Elizabeth D Salie Elva E Conner Sadie B Wiersma Theodore Meyners and Hubert Vande Gaarde. The baccalaureate sermon is set for Sunday May 16 at eight oclock at the First Reformed Church. The Junior Senior Banquet occurs on Saturday May 15.
Sioux Center seeks 134 miles of pavement amid county road contest. Board of Supervisors rejected petitions after State Highway Commission inaction. A Boyden committee seeks $65 more to reach $500 for open air concerts from June through August. Community singing and popcorn delighted all, while Mrs C C Sitter recovers from pneumonia.
