United Presbyterian to Aid Veteran Ministers in Cost of Living
The United Presbyterian Church plans a New World Movement seeking 16 million dollars to aid veteran ministers and widows amid rising living costs. Current aid covers 30 widows, three orphans, and 31 ministers with varying annual allowances. future grants target 400 for 50 ministers, 240 for 45 widows, 350 for 65 widows with children, and 200 for 10 orphans. The drive includes a 5 year budget, an endowment of 200 thousand, and pension fund strengthening to add 400 a year to veteran ministers' payments.
