The Wandscheer Brothers, inventors of a new snow plow, will leave Sioux Center after contracting with Klauer Mfg. Co. of Dubuque to manufacture plows on a royalty basis. The firm will oversee production and sales, with two brothers moving to Dubuque to supervise the first plow and remaining active on a salary, later joined by the others.

New Check Law Declares Bounced Checks Illegal
The new statute makes insufficient funds or no account checks unlawful and subject to fine and imprisonment. Settlements on such checks cannot occur after information is filed and, if accepted, must be court directed. Supreme Court rulings before the act rendered the old check law unenforceable.
