Boyden to Host a Three Day Chautauqua Event
Local businesses arrange a three day Chautauqua in Boyden this summer. The United Chautauqua System of Des Moines will provide a high class program. War Exhibit Train At Sheldon Friday
A traveling war exhibit train promoting the Victory Liberty Loan will stop in Sheldon Friday April 11 arriving 5 30 P M and leaving 5 00 A M the next day. The free display features a Whippet tank aircraft guns siege guns trench mortars howitzers grenades torpedoes helmets and French 75s with accompanying speakers.

School Children to Present Operetta Friday Evening
Pupils of Boyden Public School will stage an operetta in two acts on Friday April 11 at the school auditorium under director Miss Andrew. The event features characters such as Ye Little Olde Folk's Concert and a Japanese operetta A Box of Dolls with a lively cast including Job Harkins leader and Elizabeth Weemstra among others.
