Boone Valley Homecoming Friday Highlights Parade and Queen Crowning

The third Boone Valley Homecoming on Friday October 17 starts at 1:00 with an afternoon program featuring the school song skit and a queen crownings. A parade with Boone Valley and Goldfield bands begins at 2:30. floats must be ready by 2:00. Prizes 10 5 3 2 and 25 for best float donated by Renwick Savings Bank. Evening program starts 7:30 with queen presentation and a dance to Ralph Leslie Band after the game.

Final Rites for Jesse L Fisher Set for Friday

Final rites for Jesse L. Fisher aged 61 are scheduled for Friday morning October 17, 1958 at 10 o clock in the First Methodist church in Renwick with Reverend Roy A Biesemeier officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon cemetery. Fisher died after an extended illness. Mrs Martha Berryhill of Livermore, mother of the deceased, was visiting the Garman family after a trip to Europe and Africa.

Former Resident Henry Prull Dies in Minnesota

Henry Prull 77 a former resident died Oct 10 in Ceylon Minnesota after years of illness. He leaves his wife Tillie three sons and four daughters plus many grandchildren great grandchildren two sisters and two brothers and many relatives. Funeral services were held Monday in Ceylon with attendees from here including Mrs Rudy Blesie Mrs Donald Philipp Mrs Bob McKenna and several couples. Lola Friday is visiting her brother Daryl at Fort Knox Ky.

Amvets Auxiliary installs officers at September gathering

Mrs Virgil Erwin hosted the Amvets Auxiliary on Tuesday evening September 30. Installing officer Mrs Walter McPeak led the ceremony naming officers including President Mrs Clarence Hefty and Treasurer Mrs Floyd Lane. Plans were set for the annual Pie Sale on October 25. Also, Mr and Mrs Orten Lerdal and family of Goldfield visited Mrs O C Heggen Sunday evening.
