Editorial urges residents to shop in Renwick to boost trade volume and community prosperity. Highlights benefits to schools churches and civic facilities, urging comparison against out of town bargains and noting local social visits and friendships among residents.
Mr and Mrs John Zimmerman spent several days in Monroe and New Glarus Wisconsin. They joined Mr and Mrs J J Jorgensen former Ren Wickaren residents at the Methodist Bible school. Their group sang in Sunday morning services. Leo Mimbach and family visited. Wesley Carl and family left for a Lake O Brian Minnesota cabin. Mrs George Dreyer and family spent the weekend with Etta Banhick. Lester Krukow and family of Rockford Iowa were Sunday guests.
Otto and Darlene plan to reside in LaVerne and expand service to surrounding areas with a strong merchandise stock and prompt outside work in electrical heating and plumbing. They thank Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Chapman for assistance in the transfer and express appreciation to customers and friends as they begin serving LuVerne and nearby communities.
Mr and Mrs John Swanson visited from Tuesday until Friday at the Cant Swanson home in Spint Lake.
The Renwick Town Council met in regular session June 2 at 8 00 pm in Town Hall with all members present. Bills were read and approved including supplies, lumber, insurance and salaries. A motion to pay all bills as approved by Finance Committee passed. Cigarette licenses issued to six businesses after bonds and checks were presented. Dr Sarah Jean Lee appointed to a board. meeting adjourned.
