Boy Found Dead In Refrigerator In Eagle Grove

Edward Lahr reports a six year old boy named Robert from Eagle Grove went missing Friday afternoon. After a day of searches by police and volunteers, the boy’s body was found in an ice box on a porch near his home, apparently suffocated after crawling inside and the lid closing.

Dale Blesia and Eugene Kilnessy, reporters for the Des Moines Register and Tribune, are invited to attend the annual carriers convention in Des Moines on Monday June 12. Minor Auto Crash In Iowa Near Clarion Involving Dr Rockwood

Dr M C Rockwood and his son Curtis were returning to Clarion from Iowa City when their cars sideswiped on a curve. Lights from both vehicles appeared to dazzle the drivers causing insufficient passing distance. No injuries were reported though both cars sustained damage. Rockwood drove away in a damaged Ford V8 with a bent axle and smashed running board.

Peculiar Auto Mishap Near Renwick Injures No One

Last Friday afternoon Stanley Ale Curry attempted to reach town from a Smith bark picnic with Elwin Kelling pushing by the bumper method. At the northeast corner of Renwick a road dip and rise to No 60 caused bumper contact, McCarry’s car flipped onto its side but neither driver nor vehicle suffered injuries beyond minor harm.
