The Baptist Mission Circle will meet Friday afternoon at the church. Devotions will be led by Mrs Everett Nelson, Mr Donald McGowan will give the lesson, and the hostess will be Mrs Oscar Engstrom and Mrs Wilbur Nissen. A love offering will be taken.
Advice and offer for hair and scalp care during the hot season. Encourages calling for an appointment to receive specialized protection and care.
A group of neighbor ladies met at Mrs William Nissen’s home for a birthday lunch and gifts. Marilyn Long hosted a tea party for young girls on Monday. Mrs Kenneth Bruene hosted a bathroom shower for Marilyn Long on July 1 at A H Kleen’s home with twelve former classmates. Games, clothes gifts, and gray maroon chartreuse decorations noted. A two course lunch was served. RTW Club’s regular meeting is postponed this week.
Dr and Mrs Carroll Block left Saturday for San Francisco to visit Mrs Kenneth Block. On July 12 they will fly to Honolulu where Dr Block will work at Strong Carter dental clinic for the next year. Mrs John Davids of Kanawha visited Monday at the Chas Burk home.
Mr and Mrs Ralph Anderson visited Sunday with Mrs Will Ander son at Mercy hospital Fort Dodge. Mr and Mrs Walter Raner dad children of Webster City spent Sunday at the C D Barrick home. Mr and Mrs C D Barrick spent the Fourth at the Eldo Meyne home at Greene. Mr and Mrs Dick family visited Sunday James McGowan home S Hefty and evening at the.
August Huschka has been a patient at Mercy hospital in Fort Dodge the past week. Mr and Mrs Floyd Kelling and family visited Sunday evening at the Stanley Nervig home in Engle Grove.
The Ogen family spent the Fourth at Dr. Burl Wyatt’s Rathven home then fished at Spirit Lake returning Sunday. Supper guests at Leland Swan’s included Floyd Swan family Renwick and John Huntley Ar- Tinta and Sandra Boulder Colo. Mrs Kinnett Ritchie and Ann of Chicago visited over the weekend at Olaf Cleveland’s. Ronald May family and Robert McKenna family fished at High Lake north of Emmetsburg. Arthur Larson Ruth visited Elias Carlson home on Thursday. Clancy and Brayton families plus Andrew Clancy dined at Leland Swan’s Sunday. Eric Williams fell ill and was hospitalized at Mercy Fort Dodge. WIS-CS ice cream social Tuesday netted about 340 dollars.
The Town Council of Hardy in Humboldt County Iowa will meet July 25 1952 at 8 PM at Hardy Fire Shed to hear taxpayers for or against the following estimate of expenditures for the year beginning January 1 1953 A detailed statement of receipts and disbursements past and anticipated will be available at the hearing A Brayton Town Clerk
The Town Council chaired by Mayor Clancy met in regular session at the fire station. Present were McKenna Townswick Seger and Lippolt. Bills were approved totaling 15.55 and 20.00 from Renwick Times and League of Municipalities. Budget for 1952 set. Marshall salary raised from 50 to 100 dollars yearly starting July 1, covering street marking and Christmas lights. Meeting adjourned under Clerk AL H Brayton.
