Wayne Keith Talk Set for Community Club Jan 12

Burt farmer Wayne Keith, who toured Europe with the Farm Bureau, will speak at the Sens Community Club Monday night January 12. He will share first hand impressions on conditions in Western Europe, show pictures, and discuss topics of broad interest. The dinner for members is at 7:00 p.m. served by the Amvets Auxiliary.

Renwick Girls And Boys Defeat Corwith In Tuesday Hoops

Renwick Scarlet Raiders hosted Corwith Tuesday night with both boys and girls earning wins. The girls led 18 1 at halftime and finished 35 12, while the Renwick boys edged Corwith 29 27 in a tight, hard fought game. The teams head to Verne for James Friday and prepare for the Linke Nine Tournament next week.

Henry Bloom Sr. Hurt After Car Strike Last Thursday

Henry Bloom Sr. sustained painful injuries Thursday evening when struck by a car driven by Dick Elmer while returning from dairy milk. He was helped by Rev C Blumhagen and Dick Hetty, taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge via Beenen ambulance, with a badly broken leg and severe shock. Community wishes him a speedy recovery.

Omen H Nervig Dies at Fort Dodge Hospital

Omen H Nervig a long time Humboldt county resident died at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge after a December 1 hospital stay. Survived by wife three daughters Inma Nervig Erhei Nervig of Hatfield Mo and Mrs Mildred Yocum and son Orville of Hardy. Funeral services were held January 5 at Trinity Lutheran church Lake Township with Rev T B Thorson officiating.

Joint Installation Of Officers At Masonic Hall

Members of Biasonic Lodge and Eastern Stars enjoyed a joint potluck supper and installation of officers last Friday evening at the Masonic Hall Renwick. A short ceremony preceded the installation of the Eastern Stars officers. Mrs. W. H.
