The Baptist Church hosted a pageant titled Tail The King on Sunday evening. Bert L. Hurley wrote Find The King, and the cast delivered a vivid interpretation of the Christian story from a fresh perspective. The production impressed with smooth pacing, lighting, and reverent presentation, shaping a fitting observance of the Christmas season.
Russell Danfea, 21, son of Mr and Mrs Danfea formerly of Renwick now farming north of Kanawha, was injured while sawing wood. His right index finger was cut severely when his hand contacted a buzz saw blade. He received surgical attention in Kanawha and is healing, though the finger will have long-term impairment.

Mrs. Albert Ritley fifty of Hardy died Sunday evening at Mercy hospital Fort Dodge following gallstone surgery and a stroke. Funeral services were at Hardy Methodist church with burial at Vincent. Born August ten eighteen sixty two at Vincent she lived on a Hardy area farm for thirteen years. She survived by her husband and five children all at home and by two brothers in Fort Dodge and Vincent.
Viola Oleson 16 daughter of Mr and Mrs J Oleson Hardy was taken to Lutheran Hospital Fort Dodge after a school bus overturned in a ditch near Hardy. She suffered a fractured pelvis and a broken rib and is rapidly recovering. Driver Harold Smith and two additional children were not seriously hurt.
Grace Louise Pehl and Andrew De Mota were wed last Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the country home of the bride’s parents in Boone township. Rev M Vaartmin of the Wright Christian Reform church officiated with immediate family present. The couple plan to settle on a farm near Home.
Darwin Maurer spent the weekend at Famption with college friends reinforced by Reinhold Strohmaier of Kookwk who also visited Dr. M. CG. Rockwood. Forty trucks began hauling gravel from the Tanck pit yesterday afternoon to surface No. 60. With fair weather, the job is expected to take five days to finish.
