Mr and Mrs Ray Abbas entertained the Abbas Chevrolet Garage employees and their wives at a Christmas dinner and party Tuesday evening at Gene's in Eagle Grove. A second event noted was a birthday dinner for Dean Smith on a prior Monday evening at the John Swanson home with family and friends in attendance. The ECY.N. Club held a Christmas luncheon at Mrs Clarence Hippen's home with hostesses and a program planned by the committee. A misc shower honored niece Miss Betty Hefti of LaVerne at the home of her relatives, with about twenty-two guests attending. Miss Hefti, daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert Hefti, will be married December 27 at the Evangelical United Brethren church in LuVerne.
