Renwick social and club activities span summer events
The Renwick Woman's Club held a picnic at Renwick City park. Mrs H J Kepper led recreation with large attendance and one visitor. Howard Smith and family hosted a birthday dinner for her father John Swanson with multiple Swanson relatives from several states. Royal Neighbors plan an August picnic at Renwick Park. A birthday dinner honored Mrs Paul Aliman of Humboldt with friends from Humboldt and Akron Town. Builders Class met at Evangelical church with Schneider and Walter hosting devotions and a later weiner roast. Schneider hosted a dinner for married friends including Mueller, Frazier, Seeley, Johnson, Peters and Nelson. The twelfth biennial reunion of Samuel Healy and Phebe Lilly French descendants occurred July 30, 1950 at Renwick School House with 110 attending. new officers were Frank French and Ona Marie Engstrom. out-of-town guests included Elon and Don French and families.

Mock wedding delights guests at Mrs Clancy’s party
Approximately sixty guests attended a light hearted mock wedding with Mrs Junior Brophy and Mrs Loren Kell log as the bride and Seem. Wanda Clancy acted as minister Verma Monson as ring bearer and Mrs George Cleveland as flower girl. Guests wrote recipes for the bride and many gifts were exchanged. A delicious lunch followed.
