A church advertises Bible School at 9 30 with classes for all, worship at 10 30, and Thursday prayer and Bible study at 8 00 pm. Emphasis on creed of Christ and no book but the Bible, with a warm welcome.
Pastor Renwick leads Thursday through Saturday events June 63 with worship and classes. Sunday services at 9 15 am and 10 30 am followed by church school. Tuesday church council at parish house 8 pm. Circles meet Wednesday June 12 with hostess assignments and times. Word for the week cites Matt 28 19-20.
The United Methodist Church in Renwick announces Rev A G Papp will give his final sermon for this church and bid farewell to members and friends. Sunday services include Sunday School at 5:20 and Morning Worship at 10:30 with text Mark 9 50. The Builders Class picnic is Sunday at 12 30 at Clarion City Park. WSCS meets June 5 with hostesses Gladys Pearson Alma Anderson Evelyn Roseberry and Sharon Stover.
Dairy Day in Renwick on June 7 features milk and cheese at local shops. An Alumni Banquet at Renwick Gym draws 252, with 50 and 25 year classes honored and new officers elected for Vernon, Renwick, and Boone Valley groups.

A 6:30 potluck Sunday in the Fellowship Room of the former EUB church honored Rev and Mrs Akos Pupp Tony and Aranka as they move to Elma on June 10. The program featured a piano solo, psalms and prayers, humorous remarks, songs, and a picture of the Elma parsonage with notes on a tornado damage.
Fifty year class alumni gathered for the Renwick school event Saturday evening. Attendees included Mrs. Julia Offenhauser of Glenville Wisconsin and Mrs. Grace Gruber of Des Moines with Paul Heggen Mary Hegeen Mrs. Hazel Jensen West Bend and Mrs. Ime Lun de Sioux City. Two members John Brink and Eva McClure are listed as deceased.
Dennis Eckhoff son of Mr and Mrs Peter Boyd Eckhoff of mir al Renwick received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dordt College in Sioux Center Iowa on May 29 He is a 1964 Boone Valley Community High School graduate with an English major and German minor He plans to coach junior high English at Orange City Christian School in Orange City Iowa this fall He is spending June with his parents before starting a summer of activities.
Eugene Fisher hosted a Monday afternoon party for Denise Fisher's Sth birthday. Guests included Mrs Glen Eat Martin and family, Mrs Harry Anderson and children, Mrs Marvin Nelson and children, Mrs Melvin Haugland and family of Eagle Grove, Mrs Rod Fisher and Tammy of Humboldt, Mrs Lois Fisher, and Mrs Olive Werstein. Cake ice cream gifts were exchanged and games were played.
Mrs. George Latch learns on Friday that her brother Wayland Bates of St. Peter Minnesota has died. She left on Saturday to travel to Minnesota to attend the funeral and arrange affairs.
Boone Valley pitcher Paul Gimner dominated five innings in game one until a sixth inning rally by Twin Rivers broke a 0-0 tie and BV lost 1-0 in extra innings. In game two Twin Rivers surged to a 5-2 win, BV suffering its fourth straight defeat as Gimner was shelved by nine inning rule. Corwith Wesley rallied to defeat BV 13-4 in the nightcap, while BV’s girls softball debut under Coach Hiltos ended 28-12 to Corwith Wesley. Upcoming schedule lists Felony at Goldfield and Kanawha at home in early June.
Stares of service members at Renwick Savings Bank due by June 10 for Veterans Day observance. Mrs. Elmo Arne has made several trips to Lutheran Hospital at Ft. Dodge calling on her mother Mrs. Sam Klasse who is a patient there for observation. pictures may be picked up June 17.
Mr and Mrs Verle Patterson of Algony were honored Sunday at dinner in Marion Huntley home for their 25th wedding anniversary. Guests included Patterson family and multiple Huntley families from Clarian and nearby.
Mrs Darrell Muttesort was discharged and returned home Friday from the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines where she had been a patient for a week.

Mr and Mrs Cledis Anderson and Mrs Gerald Anderson with Susan of New Hampton attended the wedding of Alice Peterson and Richard Lenning in the Lutheran church at Thor on Saturday evening. Mr Gerald Anderson and Dwight Anderson attended the Alumni Banquet.
The Hi Neighbor Club gathered Friday afternoon in the Community Room of the Renwick Public Library. New president Mrs. Lloyd Stevenson led the business meeting, with Mrs. Vergil Erwin as lesson leader introducing Mrs. Martin Miller of Humboldt who spoke on floor coverings drapes and furnishings.
Mrs Adele Jensen and John Wills exchanged vows at Nazareth Lutheran Church Cedar Falls on Sunday afternoon attended by Mr and Mrs George Bell Mr and Mrs Paul Hegeen Bertha Tieggen Mrs Barbara Kelling and others.
