Jury selection no mystery in Fayette County courts
Fayette County deputy clerk Bonnie Sarver describes jury pool creation, combining voters lists with DMV data, removing duplicates, and random computer selection. Panels of 400 names yield 40 to 60 actual jurors per term, with exemptions for those 65 and older and nonresponses causing no-shows. Grand juries sit year round. petit jurors are mailed summons while address errors delay or miss notices.
