Artistic patriotism at Beckley VA Center unfolds through art
William “Sarge” McGee, 78, quietly fuels a VA Medical Center Beckley art program. He created a 6 foot Uncle Sam for Bridge Day and is painting a patriotic mural featuring a collage of flags from Army Navy Marines Air Force and Coast Guard. Staff say his humility and leadership inspired patients to join in art projects and boosted morale.
