Raleigh County Students Score Above State Average

Raleigh elementary and middle school students posted higher than state averages on the spring SAT-9 basic skills test, with third through sixth grades averaging above the state. Sixth grade led Raleigh County at 70 while Tyler County topped the state with 76. seventh through eleventh graders fell below state levels as districts investigate causes.
