Market rally pauses as tech leads stocks higher
Strong Microsoft and Sun Microsystems reports fuel another record session but most shares fell as the summer advance shows fatigue. Dow rose 9.78 to 9337.97, weekly gain 232.23, Nasdaq closed at 2008.76 up 8.20, S&P 500 set a new high while many blue chips led. Analyst says the recent surge may be halting amid mixed breadth.
