Mason County Board Rejects Regional High School Plan
In Charleston AP report the Mason County school board with a new anti consolidation majority voted to stop cooperation with Putnam County officials on a regional high school proposed for Buffalo. The meeting disbanded a two county planning committee and installed anti consolidation leaders as president and vice president. Many residents oppose busing and loss of local control citing a pending Point Pleasant lawsuit. Putnam County delays future plans until the next board election in two years.
