BARH joins Heritage Health System alliance expands regional care

BARH becomes part of Heritage Health System through a joint ARH and Camcare venture. Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital remains ARH owned but will be operated by WVARH, an affiliate of Heritage, with expansion plans including a new Oak Hill area physician clinic by midsummer.

Logan clerk cleared of jury tampering

Grand jury tampering charges against Logan County circuit clerk Alvis Porter were dropped after a judge ruled the prosecutor failed to properly file the charges. Porter, who is seeking reelection, claimed the allegations were politically motivated and said the charges were dropped in Logan County.
