Tehama and Shasta Counties dairymen formed a seven member dairy waste disposal committee yesterday and informally approved using a portion of the dairy advisory board advertising fund to research the waste situation. The group opposed Assemblyman Roberts plan to have landowners sell to the government and lease back. El Camino dairyman Donald Bowen and Tehama’s Kenneth Matz led talks at the Crystal Tavern in Red Bluff.

Youth Arrested in String of Burglaries in Red Bluff
A 17 year old Red Bluff youth was arrested last night and charged with four burglaries including Sunnyside Market on April 15, 1972 and Bidwell School on Wednesday night. He is held in juvenile hall as police anticipate more arrests linked to incidents over the past year. The suspect also faces a September 6, 1972 burglary at Red Bluff High School and a May 23, 1972 Linning Street break in. The case ties to a August 21, 1972 malicious mischief at Bidwell School.

Skylab astronauts extend orbit as cooling fixes bloom
