Terror at Rome Airport Hijack Ends in Flight to Athens
Hijackers opened fire at Leonardo da Vinci Airport injuring and killing several, took hostages, and forced a Pan American Boeing 707 to be boarded. After explosions and smoke, 28 people died and at least 15 were wounded before 14 hostages and two pilots were carried to a Lufthansa jet bound for Athens.
