Seven Black Bears Trapped in Redding Area
UPI reports seven black bears trapped by Fish and Game wardens in Northern California using strawberry jam and cat food as bait. Bears ranged from a 411 pound male that attacked beehives near Fawndale to a 20 pound cub damaging peach trees in Trinity County. They were tranquilized weighed tagged and released in remote mountains after nuisance complaints.
