Boy bandits rob Katy Limited at Worth Oklahoma

Three masked youths held up the Katy train No. 9 early this morning at Worth. They dynamited the express safe, secured several thousand dollars, set fire to a trestle over the Canadian river, and escaped into nearby woods as posses pursued. An armful of currency packages was seen in one robber’s arms. Package wrapper found nearby indicated funds bound for Kansas City to a Greenville Texas bank.

Robbery News Reaches City About Limited Train

News of a Katy Limited train robbery arrived Tuesday morning after a delay of five hours. A substitute train was assembled at Denison to cover the route southward while details were scarce until an Associated Press dispatch reached the Record and Chronicle shortly after 10 o’clock.

Belgrade reports that the Turkish army retreating from Uskup toward Veles surrendered yesterday to Servian cavalry and handed over their arms. Serbians captured 123 cannon and defeated a Turkish detachment at Velisovitz. They also seized 1,000 Arnauts and their munitions.
