The Texas Gas company in Denton announces a temporary layoff of seventy five workers due to delayed pipe delivery and an incomplete main line connection from Gainesville. About nine miles of pipe remain to be laid in city streets, with gas expected to be turned on around December first if pipes arrive on time.
Fort Worth reporting the State Federation of Women’s Clubs adjourned with plans for next spring’s meeting. Resolutions call for compulsory education, a special school tax, women on school boards, music in schools, tree planting, traveling libraries, world peace, equal property laws, tuberculosis support, crime reporting limits, and public school reform.
Three trainmen died in a head on crash at 4 AM near Alexandria Louisiana when the La Texas and Pacific westbound passenger train collided with a Southern Pacific passenger train at a crossing. In Fort Worth Judge Swayne excluded much of the defense testimony on the conspiracy against Capt Boyce. Ollie Beaupre was convicted of second degree murder for the February 1911 hammer death of his wife at the Beaupre home in Waxahachie. The verdict came after a second trial following a hung jury. Beaupre’s alibi defense was rejected.

Mrs. Emma Lowe died here this morning from burns received last night when a lamp exploded and set fire to her clothing.
H Radtke a Houston policeman until last night was found early today in a restricted district dying from knife wounds. Assailants are unknown.
